Kurs/Prosjekt: IMT1006 - Physical and Tactile Prototyping, NTNU
Skapere: Christopher M. M. Cox
Materialer: Textile, LED, wool, felting, paper
Teknologi: LED and 9-volt battery
Beskrivelse: The main goal for this workshop project is to show different kinds of textile materials as a shell to glow by using LED-lights buttons. This stress ball project has as purpose to calm the users stress levels through either sensor touching or by pressing buttons to produce different kinds of lights that will help the user relax.
Målgruppe: MakerSpace, workshop, students, stressed out people
Interaksjonen: This project has yet any interactions but the plan is to have the interact with the stress ball through either sensor touch or by buttons to produce the LED-lights that will help them relax there stress levels.
Metodeverk: #Prototyping
Step-123:
Step by step guide in progress
First you start with soldering LED-lights and after you feel that you have enough LED-lights you can begin on making the textile stress release ball.
To make the stress release ball shell that is going to be lighted up by the LED-lights you just made, you'll need some polyester and wool felted together into a round ball. Make sure that the polyester is stretched out enough so it isn't to compacted together and that the wool which is going to be felted on top of the polyester is stretched lite as possible or else the light wont shine good enough through. Since that would mean that your stress release ball is to compacted together.
When you have your stress release ball made test it out on the LED-light with your 9-volt battery and see out well it light up and when you feel like your happy enough. Then it is time to start putting on the sensors/buttons that is going to help the user relax and not feel so stressed out any more.
God utforskning av form, lys gjennom lager av ull, polyestervatt og ull, etc. Samt teknikker for å bearbeide ullen.
